The Community-Led Process

We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community. Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.

The Kaleidoscope Community-Led Process

The Kaleidoscope community led process is the strategic process that focuses on shifting power to the community, building the capacity of the community, and supporting advocacy to the community. The community led process transfers power to the community to define and direct the work done in the community.

Shifting Power

Kaleidoscope funds Wake County organizations, working directly in communities that have a desire, and readiness to create racially equitable environments for children.

Building Community Capacity

Kaleidoscope works with and guide sites through the community-led process to create racially equitable environments that support the social-emotional health and well-being of children and their families.

Acting as a facilitator and funder, The Kaleidoscope Project is seeking a Partner Organization to connect us to authentic community expertise and leadership. The Partner would not necessarily implement changes; they would help develop the trust they have built over time, help us connect with the right people, and participate in grassroots committee decision making.

Supporting Systems Change through Advocacy

The Kaleidoscope advocacy plan focuses on network development, policy change, community development and communication all with a focus on supporting the social emotional health of children.

Focus on evaluation

Real time feedback and analysis benefits our learning and improvement. The Kaleidoscope Project contracts with an independent evaluation partner for feedback.
